Camp Financial Aid
The 2025 Listen CI Camp Scholarship Application closed November 15, 2024. If you would like to be added to the waitlist for a 2025 scholarship, please email Janette Cantwell, Camp Director: Camp@ListenFoundation.org.
Camp Scholarships
Financial assistance, in the form of partial “camp scholarships”, is available for a limited number of families who cannot otherwise afford to attend camp. Family members eligible to attend include the child(ren) who uses a cochlear implant age 3-18, along with the parents/legal guardians, and siblings up to 18 years of age. Rooms are limited to 5 family members, regardless of age. (No cousins, grandparents, nor siblings older than high school.)
The process to apply for and receive scholarship reservations is a separate process from the typical room reservation system.
Camp sessions are based on the age of the child(ren) who uses a cochlear implant:
- June 26-29, 2025 CI Recipients Entering 5th Grade – 2024 High School Graduates
- July 24-27, 2025 CI Recipients Age 3 – Entering 4th Grade
The Scholarship Application allows you to indicate the age-appropriate camp for your CI child and will require proof of financial need (e.g. participation in Free & Reduced lunch programs, Medicaid insurance coverage, Listen Foundation or other therapy funding, etc.). References are also requested. Scholarship applications are due November 15, 2024.
A scholarship committee will review applications and choose award recipients. All applicants will be notified of their scholarship status by December 20, 2025. Those receiving scholarships will then receive further instructions on securing camp registration and making the agreed upon deposit. Award amounts and number of families chosen varies annually based on funds raised. To help as many families as possible, we hope to include different families from year-to-year.
Any available scholarship funds that are unfulfilled may be applied for on a rolling basis. If the scholarship deadline has passed, please contact the Camp Director before applying.
